Our Pastor
Rev Dr. Louie Boykin is a native of Clinton. He is the son of the late Harold L. and Mildred K. Boykin, Sr. He is married to the former Katrina Peele and they have one daughter Whitney Nicole Boykin.
Dr. Boykin is a 1974 graduate of Clinton High School. After high school Dr. Boykin attended Fayetteville State University. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force and served for 8 years. Dr. Boykin is a graduate of Sampson Community College with an Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance, the University of Mt. Olive with a B.S. degree in Religion. Dr. Boykin graduated from the North Carolina College of Theology with a Masters of Biblical Studies and Duke University Divinity School with a certificate in Community Pastoral Care. Dr. Boykin earned a Doctorate of Theology degree from North Carolina Theological Seminary. He has also studied at Shaw University Divinity School in Raleigh, NC. He is a former instructor of the North Carolina College of Theology. He is the founder and president of the North Carolina Theological Seminary of Bladen Co an extension of NCTS. He is the former
pastor of Union Hill MBC of Autryville,N.C. and the Roseville Baptist Church in Harrells, NC. In July 2012, he was blessed to be called to the Baldwin Branch Missionary Baptist Church “Da Branch” in Elizabethtown, N.C. where he currently serves as the Sr. Pastor.

Vision
He is the CEO of WBLA radio station 1440 A.M. “Da Branch” and www.wbladabranch.com owned and operated by Baldwin Branch MBC. He is retired from General Electric Company and the Clinton City Schools. He received the Clinton Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority 2013 Community Service Award, 103.9 "The Light" Pastor of the Month, and TCP magazine "Hometown Hero’ in February 2015. He is a 2019 103.9 “The Light” Lamp Lighter award winner for Community Outreach. Dr. Boykin loves serving the communities of Sampson and Bladen counties. He has many hobbies, but his greatest joy comes from serving the Lord. Oh Bless His Name!!
